Ordination to the Priesthood

Jason Graves, OFM Cap., has been ordained a priest, April 7 at St. Bonaventure Monastery Chapel, Detroit. Please pray with us that our brother will have a joyous Capuchin life as a Priest.

Our Holy Father Pope Francis summons us all to be joyful missionary disciples. Our Brother Jason has responded to that summons with generosity. He is a gift to the Order and to the church!

Fr. Jason will be assisting the two Milwaukee Capuchin parishes, St. Francis of Assisi and St. Benedict the Moor. He is also assistant vocation director for the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Joseph.

"Ministering as a Deacon at St. Francis and St. Benedict has been one of the highlights of my ministerial life,” Fr. Jason explains. “Presbyteral ordination will allow me to serve the community in new and exciting ways. In a sense, it feels like the end of one long journey, and the beginning of something new that promises to be both challenging and filled with abundant grace and blessings.”
